148th Fighter Wing Receives "Excellent" Rating Published Aug. 27, 2009 By Maj. Audra Flanagan 148FW DULUTH, Minn. -- After six-months of intense planning and training, the 148th Fighter Wing has completed its Operational Readiness Inspection with great results. From a 5-tier rating scale, the 148th received an "Excellent" rating. The five possible ratings are Outstanding, Excellent, Satisfactory, Marginal and Unsatisfactory. Excellent is the highest rating received by any Fighter Wing since 1998. The purpose of the Operational Readiness Inspection is for the Air Force's Inspector General to measure a unit's ability to perform assigned operational missions, and validate combat readiness.
