148th Fighter Wing members along with emergency response personnel from the community participated in an emergency response training exercise on May 2, 2012 at the 148th Fighter Wing, Duluth, Minn.

The exercise centered on emergency response by personnel from the Wing as well as agencies from the community. The exercise gave them an opportunity to train and evaluate their response capability.

Some community agencies that participated include the St. Louis County Sherriff's Department, Minnesota State Patrol, St. Louis County Dispatch/911 Center, Duluth Airport Authority, Gold Cross Ambulance, St. Luke's Hospital, Essentia Health, and the American Red Cross.

"Integrating 148th FW emergency response personnel with their community counterparts provided a realistic avenue for all parties to understand each other's procedures, policies and an opportunity to learn from one another." said Major Audra Flanagan, 148th FW Wing Executive Officer.
