Chief Master Sergeant Mark S. Rukavina is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 148th Fighter, Minnesota Air National Guard, Duluth, Minnesota. As the Command Chief for the 148th Fighter Wing, he reports directly to the Wing Commander on any and all issues affecting the enlisted force such as morale, readiness, retention, promotions, training and recognition. He advises all wing councils such as the Bulldog Enlisted Council, First Sergeants Council, and Chief's Council on current topics of concern. He is a Federal Technician with the 148th Fighter Wing as the Base Facility Manager.
Chief Rukavina began his military career in March 1980 when he enlisted in the 148th Fighter Wing. He completed basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and Electrical Power Production Technical School at Sheppard AFB, Texas. Chief Rukavina has had various positions within the Civil Engineers Squadron to include, Power Production Journeyman, Power Production Supervisor, and Structural Superintendent. He was selected as the Civil Engineers Squadron Chief Enlisted Manager in August 2005. Chief Rukavina deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan from January to July 2010 and in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM to Al Udeid AB, Qatar from July to September 2005.
