DULUTH, Minn. --

1.  Why is serving in the Minnesota National Guard important to you?  It is close to home and gives me a chance to both serve my local community along with the country.  I liked the idea of having both a state and federal mission.

2.  What military accomplishment are you most proud of?  Being named a distinguished graduate and getting my badge pinned on after successful completion of technical school.

3.  What is your favorite part about the job?  Meeting people while working the main gate…giving them a friendly greeting and hopefully getting their day off to a positive start.

4.  What inspires you?  There are a lot of really good role models in Security Forces and I don’t want to let any of them down.

5.  What are your future goals?  I would like to work at the 148th Fighter Wing as long as I can…I love being here.  My goal is to become a fulltime member of Security Forces.

6.  What is your favorite part about being a member of the 148th?  It’s like a big family…everyone knows each other.  People are friendly and make the effort to talk to get to know you.
